The Cast
Mike Wilson:
Mike's a very angry fellow, but not for any particular reason. Despite his constant scowling and compaining, he is actually rather content with his life. He just takes great pleasure in going off on long-winded rants about completely unimportant subjects.
He’s a bit of a geek. He’s rather into computers and The Internet and whatnot, and was a computing student at college but failed the course after forgetting to take the exam. He currently isn't doing anything with his life after quitting his dream job at Bastardcorp. Telemarketing upon discovering that his boss was extremely evil and weird.
He’s kept sane by his long-term girlfriend, Lily, whom he is currently living with. He hasn't actually officially moved in with her or anything, he just won't leave her house.
Sophie Taylor:
This is Sophie. She is very friendly and sociable, but also very lazy. So if possible she'll get people to come to her when she wants to see them, so that she doesn't have to move.
She’s – Get this – a girl who plays video games!! I know, right? It’s a pretty huge deal because it’s such an incredibly unlikely occurrence. She reads comics as well, if you can believe it!
She loves animals and is taking a course in animal care at college. Not that she’s really sure what she’s going to do with the qualification. It’s just something she found interesting that could help her later on in life. She lives in the now and tries not to get stressed out about what’s going to happen further down the line.
Rob Finch:
Rob’s a pretty good guy. A very likable person, but pretty quiet and sometimes appearing quite distant.
He’s very into his music, is Rob. Often listening to his favourite tunes on his iPod instead of actually paying attention to the world around him. He’s a drummer. He likes to play his drums quite a lot, much to the annoyance of his neighbours. He mostly listens to metal, but has fairly broad tastes. And he’s a music student at college.
Rob used to wear a red shirt, but exchanged it for a green one when he realized he looked too much like Brad from Punks and Nerds.
He is best friends with both Mike and Sophie.
Dave Beedham:
Dave is… weird. There’s not really any other way of putting it. He’s a huge nerd and he’s incredibly impressionable. He loves video games and movies and TV and is almost constantly making attempts to imitate his favourite characters and situations. He’s capable of being a perfectly normal, well-adjusted person when he wants to be. He just hardly ever wants to be.
Dave is usually seen wearing his favourite hoodie, which says “Ninja” on it. He seems to think that wearing it automatically makes him an actual ninja and gives him stealthy powers.
Has trouble talking to girls because he's a dork, and he's insane.
He currently works at an electronics warehouse doing a job he is dangerously unqualified for. Luckily his extreme incompetence is lost on his alcoholic employer.
Lily Fowler:
Lily’s an art student at University. She’s very creative, but often just likes making pretty things for the sake of making pretty things, without feeling the need to tie meaning or specific artistic influence to what she’s created. Which I think seems fair enough, but most art teachers just won’t have any of it.
While she doesn’t play video games herself, she has no problem hanging out with her boyfriend Mike and her best friend Dave when they’re playing them. Sure, she might complain or make fun of them, but she loves it really. She likes nothing better than spending time with her guys.
Lily has a short temper and a tendency to overreact when something annoys her. It is quite important that you stay on her good side.
She, too, recently quit working at Bastardcorp. Telemarketing.
Jenny Cleaver:
The ghost of an 11-year murder victim who began haunting Dave after he failed to pass on a chain e-mail. Although she is actually relatively harmless, she does have somewhat psychotic tendencies and tends to cause a lot of trouble for Dave, even though she considers him a friend.
Nobody but Dave is aware of her existence as of yet. Very little else is known about her.
